The Five Rune Spread will give you a more detailed reading than the Three Rune Spread.

Using the Five Rune Spread

In the Five Rune Spread, five Runes are cast and positioned in a straight vertical line, from top to bottom. The Runes are then read in the order of top to bottom.

The first Rune position is "Overview", representing a  general basis of the question, or situation you are addressing.

The second Rune position is "Challenge",  The challenge ahead of you concerning the question or situation.

The third Rune position is "Action". In other words, the best action to take concerning your question or situation.

The fourth Rune position is "Sacrifice". This position relates to the fact that you have options, or choices in your life which you need to remove or discard in order to obtain your goal or outcome.

The fifth Rune position is "Outcome", representing  the Outcome as you meet your Challenge or Goal.
