Using the Spreads


To choose a different Rune Spread, click "Spread" on the menu and make a selection. There is Help available throughout the program by pressing the F1 key.

There is also "On the Fly" quick help for all of the individual Rune spreads within the "Help" menu. For quick help, click "Help", then click "On the Fly Help" on the menu, or press the ? or the h key on your keyboard. On the Fly Help will be displayed within the program itself and show you basic help to get started, specific to each different Rune Spread.

You can also navigate Runes, the Ancient Oracle using "keyboard shortcuts", All of the Rune spreads work in the same manner. You Cast the Runes, and read the interpretations for each Rune in the spread by moving your mouse pointer over them.

Upright, Reversed, or Non-Reversible Runes

When a Rune is cast, it can be in an Upright position, Reversed position, or a Non-Reversible Rune. When a Rune is cast "upside down" into its position it is known as "Reversed". Otherwise, if the Rune is cast "right side up", or normal, it is referred to as "Upright". There are 25 Runes in all, and 16 of them are "Reversible". the other 9 Runes are referred to as "Non-Reversible" Runes.
